To add a little fuel to the fire, I ran into something new over the weekend. Car (Gen 2 Prius) has a previously rebuild HV battery, about 2 years old. Symptoms were the red triangle popping up while driving. Owner was resetting by disconnecting battery. Check the codes and the only code present was Block 2 becomes weak.First it was the master break solenoid, got that replaced. Car drove fine but the light came up. Just had a shop diagnose it and said it was the inverter coolant for the main hybrid battery. Replaced it but the triangle is still there. My OBD2 reader is showing no codes. There is a long wire going from the + of the battery to the fuse box under the hood and the negative is just connected to the body near the tail light. Make sure those are nice and clean at both ends. There is a ground connection at the fuse box to the body as well. Check those for good contact.IV.
